izuku has always been depressed due to his father's abusive tendencies to his mom and him. Katsuki's bullying just made it worse. the same is going on with Katsuki though, just it's his mom who is abusive. but neither of them is seeing they are in the same situation. they could either seek help in each other or push each other away farther than they already are....
