Mature
The world has fallen into anarchy, the rebellion has fallen to the Empire, but the planet Morgan is so out in the backwater that doesn't mean much.

The Transformed is the religion of choice for most of the population, but it's something Kash has never agreed much with. Then the face of her younger sister Geena ends up on an Imperial broad sheet, a bounty on her head.

Pier, town of three thousand, ends up overloaded with bounty hunters wanting to kill Geena, who made herself a folk hero for the Rebellion. Kash can't let that happen. Kash won't let that happen.

She sets out to save her sister... and ends up.... tails up?

Growing up in their sister's shadow wasn't easy; surviving after she left has been harder. In the nine years since their Kingdom was destroyed by the cruel Falcondar family, Kiridan has had two objectives: to stay hidden from the Falcondars, and to figure out why their sister never came back for them. They discover that she started an underground organization to overthrow the Falcondars...and then died three years ago while on a mission in the mountains. Determined to make something of their sister's efforts - and to be recognized as more than the less-talented sibling - Kiridan decides to break into the organization known as the Infernal Uprising, taking their rightful place among its leadership. But as the attack on the Falcondars draws nearer, they'll have to learn that leadership is more than barking orders, and that trust is difficult to earn. When the chaos spirals further than anyone expected, and new powers come into play from every direction, a lot of people may have to reevaluate what they stand for...whether they're an Infernal Uprising soldier, a traitor, or a Falcondar Princess herself. Sure, through the eyes of those in power, the world has always been in conflict. But for the next generation waiting to take over, the conflict is just beginning. And for the rest of the unsuspecting universe, it hasn't even begun. Which came first, the catastrophe or the change? And what's the difference in the first place? ******* ONGOING. Do your genes, your parents, teachers, or your master determine who you will be in life? Can they set your value in the universe? 650 years ago the known species of the universe came together and signed the Alliance, a document that would help each race find its place in the universe. It granted freedom to some and the scant protection of slavery to others. Into this society a handful of children are born who will change it forever, if they can survive to adulthood. Here is the origin story of two of those children. Hathu is born to a man determined to make the universe bow to him and his species. Since he learned to talk, Hathu has been a disappointment to his father. He doesn't want to become a warrior, and he refuses to assert his dominance. When he accidentally overhears his father plotting against the Ir'Klahn empire, can Hathu stop him? Mik is born with no rights, destined to become a lifelong slave. His mother tries to protect him from this fate by running away and finding a home for them on a trading ship that travels from world to world. They are safe for now, but how long can they hide from the best trackers in the universe? This is the first book in the My Kingdom Come series. Updates every Tuesday. :) My 2021 Nanowrimo so please excuse the unedited condition of the story. Be warned: there is violence, rape, murder, abuse, self harm and suicidal thoughts in this story. I do not post trigger warnings.

15 parts Complete Mature

Their job was never easy, but at least assassination was comfortable for Lanada. Now Sam Bones from the STAR agency has evidence of their crimes. The agency isn't seeking punitive justice though; Lanada is wanted for their specific skillset in silent, tactical murder. While uncovering a corporate and government conspiracy, Lanada and Sam's rocky partnership grows stronger as they fight under the STAR agency, forced to face the ethics of their careers and the consequences of their decisions. After a chilling discovery about their war with a co-opted political movement, they must make a choice between their career comforts, or risking it all to reconcile with their pasts-both packed full with death. What to expect: Aliens in a grounded, realistic world; no space. A universe not reliant on capitalism, where stateless societies are the norm. Military escapades criticizing state control and its corrupting nature. Nonbinary protagonist who's sorting out some personal issues. Their gay best friend. The world's shittest dad, but the world's best STAR agent. This book is finished, has been edited several times, beta read, and is basically ready for querying. I'm holding off until I get some more feedback, and do some more editing.
