There are things in this world. Things that you see ever day. But your brain doesn't exactly register what they really are. You see them as normal. Pass by them, not giving them a second thought. Little did you know that they hold the key to the world. To another world. A world that is hidden from mortal view. A world that is full of terror and destruction. There are reasons that these things are hidden. Hidden from plain sight. Out of mind for mortals. The main reason is that it's an easy way for them to die.

Forget everyting you know about anything because it's false. The world you see now is only the surface of the truth. There's more to what you see than what you might comprehend; like how strange that man's eyes looked in the alley last night, or how oddly and deathly beautiful that woman was at the bar. Forget everything you know because you don't know the half of it.

Everyone has that "I'm in love with my best friend and he doesn't know it" story. And this, this is mine. But it's a little different. Never in my life have I ever told so many lies...broken so many hearts...or lost the only person I've ever loved. You see, my story, it's all about me pretending. Pretending that I'm not in love with someone who I can never get out of my head. Pretending that I AM in love with someone that I don't see as anything more than a friend. Pretending I'm someone who I'm not. But, just like every story, the truth has to be revealed. And it will be.
