بر اساس توصیه های سازمان بهداشت جهانی (WHO) فعالیت  بدنی مورد نیاز، شامل حداقل  150 دقیقه فعالیت  متوسط  یا حداقل 75 دقیقه فعالیت بدنی شدید درطول هفته و شامل 21 دقیقه فعالیت بدنی متوسط  و 11 دقیقه  فعالیت بدنی شدید در طول روز است. اگرچه انجام ورزشهای بیشتر، مزایای بهتری برای پیشگیری از سرطان نیز به همراه دارد. به گفته سوزان براون، مدیر ارشد برنامه های علمی  WCRF  و بازیکن سابق بین المللی راگبی، فعالیت بدنی متوسط می تواند شامل کارهای خانگی باشد، اما فعالیت بدنی شدید، فعالیت های طولانی به عنوان مثال شنا یا ورزشهایی مثل راگبی است
و غلات کامل مصرف سبزیجات، میوه ، حبوبات
برای پیشگیری از سرطان، مصرف غلات کامل، سبزیجات ، میوه های تازه وحبوبات را بخشی از رژیم غذایی روزانه خود قرار دهید. شواهد قوی حاکی از اثرات محافظتی دانه و فیبر در برابر سرطان روده بزرگ است و برای این منظور مصرف فیبر به میزان 30 گرم در روز توصیه می شود. همچنین مصرف 400 گرم میوه و سبزیجات تازه در روز لازم است.  در این زمینه، مصرف انواع سبزیجات و میوه های تازه در 5 وعده طی روز و پرهیز از مصرف غذاهای  نشاسته ای توصیه می شود.All Rights Reserved
