Verita - The Guardian of Darkness

300 years ago, a bloody war was ravaging the continent. People were divided between the two houses of Gratia and Verita, who fought each other for resources, land and glory.

Built upon the rubble of those days, the kingdom of Gratia stands tall. It is ruled by young king Aetrian, whose house prides itself in the construction of an ever-lasting barrier to keep house Verita and its followers away from their thriving civilization. But Aetrian, who was raised to uphold the current order, desires to be more than a fair-haired puppet dressed in jewels; the scholarly king harbors dreams of a united empire.

On the other side of the continent, a pitch-black rift gapes in the barren earth - named The Deep due to its unexplored depths. The cliffs of this supernatural valley mark the exile where the descendants of house Verita battle with never-ending threats, starvation and despair. Banished with no hope of salvation, they have had no choice for the last 300 years but to take a stand against the creatures rising from the Deep.

Born as the sole successor of house Verita, Elanthin was raised to be queen of the exiles, expectant of a short and bloody life. Once a beacon of unwavering strength, her authority is starting to crumble as settlements fall prey to the dark creatures rising in growing numbers. The darkness encroaches on the Plains, feeding greedily on rogues, soldiers and farmers alike - until Elanthin is left with no choice but to offer her crown to the one enemy her ancestors had never bowed to.
