What happens when a girl's brightness opens the eyes to a boy surrounded by darkness? What happens when his darkness allows the girl to realize she too carries some darkness? 

Follow Alina Drew on her journey to a new start. Her parents uproot her from her beach home in California, to a small town in Idaho. Alina's parents aren't telling her everything, and she knows it. 

Kek Blackwell comes from money. before he was even born, he had a trust fund. With that money, comes darkness. He is surrounded by lies, thieves, and death.  So maybe a new start with his Aunt Caroline will help him breath. 

Two new students in one small town. One bubbly and encouraging, the other dark and mysterious. Let's see what happens when Kek's past unravels and effects Alina. What will he do when he realizes that she is now in danger? And so is her light..
