Spoiler alert for Encanto, obviously.
What if Mirabel never came back? What if Abuela never came looking for her at the river? What if the magic was never restored?
After the collapse of their home and the destruction of their miracle, Mirabel leaves the town that she had lived in her entire life along with Bruno, and creates a new life for herself and her uncle in the wide world beyond the encanto. Twenty years later, she's happy, healthy, and even has a family of her own. A family totally unaware of her strange, magical past. She's more than happy to leave the Madrigals behind and just forget about it all, but Bruno wants to go see his family one last time, and he wants Mirabel to go with him. Thus begins their journey back to the home they left behind, and Mirabel is forced to sort out all of her mixed feelings about her family, because after all, how could she stay away?
I will be putting any content warnings in the beginnings of each chapter.
None of the characters are original except for Daniel and Julieta Garcia.

She looked around and saw that she was in a jungle but on a clear path, she limped to the end of the path and saw a Town the Townsfolk buying and selling, children giggling and laughing, Townsfolk bustling around, Luisa carrying a bridge, People in town square chatting....... Encanto: The Future Sees the Past/ 𝓝𝓸𝔀 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓹𝓵𝓮𝓽𝓮!
I decided to write this story since I kept watching the movie, Encanto over and over again. This story happens 2 months after the film. The magic is restored, the miracle is back, Bruno is still with the family and he is no longer villainized by the community. All the Madrigals have their gifts back, well except Mirabel. Now the Madrigals are even more busy with all the people they need to serve. But Mirabel is still reminded that she is the only Madrigal without a gift. This deeply hurts her, but her family doesn't notice since they are all to busy. Soon , some of the family members forget what happened between her and them and they begin to treat her like they did before the film, like she was a baby. They have even forgotten everything she has done for them, the only thing they do recall is her bring the magic back. But they don't give her enough credit. The only one who notices the pain Mirabel is in is Casita. Casita is saddened and angry that everyone in the family is ignoring Mirabel, so Casita uses a special magic from the miracle to show the entire family the movie, along with a heartbreaking secret from Mirabel's past. The Madrigal's Casita will give them a proper perspective. I hope... I don't own any of the characters or songs in the story, I only own the idea of the story. The Madrigal's are a famed family that reside within Encanto. They were given a gift, a miracle, and that miracle is passed down through many generations. Their purpose is to serve, help, and protect the citizens of their village. Abuela Alma is the matriarch of the household. Her husband, Abuelo Pedro, sacrificed himself to give her the miracle. This left Abuela to raise 3 beautiful children and lead a village. When these three children turned five, it was their turn to receive the miracle. Each was given a magical gift that would aid them in serving the village. Pepa was given the ability to control the weather with her emotions, Julieta was given the power to heal through food, and Bruno was given the power to see into the future. But as kids do, they grew up. Each child grew into an adult and with some pressure from Abuela, they began looking for partners. Pepa married her childhood friend, Félix, and it was the beginning of Bruno's bad reputation. Julieta, on the other hand, married a clumsy man named Augustin. After their marriages, both women were pregnant soon. And Abuela was delighted to have more magical blessings on the way. Delores and Isabela were born first. The very first grandchildren to the Madrigal family. But between their birth and when they received their powers, Bruno's reputation continued to deteriorate. As did his relationship with his mother and sisters. He was becoming desperate. People in the town feared him. All he wanted was love. Then Bruno meets Valentina. They hit it off. Bruno is desperate. And his desperation results in an accident. Valentina becomes pregnant. Abuela is angry. They offer to get married but Abuela says the damage is done. Valentina gives birth to a baby girl she names Itzayana, after the moon. But Valentina never sees her daughter grow. Follow Itzayana as she navigates being a Madrigal and deals with the effects of her power. And maybe, just maybe, Itzayana finds someone special of her own.Complete
