i wanted to write a modern merthur AU but im having writer's block but i really wanna fucking write so im just gonna make this up as i go along. have faith and check out my other stories as well.. update: as I am now 10 parts into the story I have decided what its about. Arthur is the son of one of the most wealthy men in the world. his father owns Pendragon Corp, and he is to get all of it when Uther dies. Merlin gets kidnapped by an unknown person and when he returns, he's different. Gaius finds out what causes it. The Fomorroh. Arthur and Merlin go on a quest to kill the mother beast while it's tranquilized, so they can protect Camelot from Morgause and Cenred. Gwen and Morgana are also a big part of the story and I write in their perspective too. (I have put it on AO3 as well, I am currently editing out spelling/grammatical errors there, because it's easier than on this platform, plus, I love going back and forth to compare, it shows me my growth as an author)Complete

*Starts out in the same timeline as Servant Of Two Masters* Merlin and the Knights are out on a trip, when they are suddenly attacked by a group of bandits. Merlin ends up getting hurt and is eventually captured by Morgana. Originally, she plans to use him to kill Arthur. However, what would happen if she were to see his scars? What if she were the one to discover that there's more to Merlin than meets the eye? How will she react when she finds out that Merlin is more that just a servant? ***** So like I said before this starts out with like the first 5 minutes of A Servant of Two Masters. If you have seen the scars type of stories before, this is a little bit like that. The difference is, it's Morgana that sees his scars first, which sparks some interesting conversations. Merthur AU (angel!Merlin and human!Arthur). Merlin is a young angel and doesn't understand many things. When he discovers a pond in heaven through which he can see Earth though, everything changes. For the first time, he sees a human - Arthur Pendragon. And from that moment he knows that he wants to protect him. When Arthur is in danger, Merlin accidentally ends up on Earth while trying to help him. Now he must stay in Camelot and befriend Arthur until other angels find him and bring him home. Their growing love is forbidden though. What can Merlin do now? Leave and never talk to Arthur again or stay and die? This was my first Merthur AU, written in August 2017. The story is set in season 1 during 1x04 The Poisoned Chalice. Merlin speaks Latin a bit (but I have like zero experience with that language so I used an online translator). The translation will be at the end of the chapter.Complete
