Just to clear things up, in this alternative universe where Dream and Nightmare used to be little girls. Their names in this AU are Sarah (Dream), and Emma (Nightmare). They've been adopted by a rich family that's not so kind. A big accident messes a lot with their life's, and we'll follow the events of that here. A lot of stuff here is inspired by the canon story itself!
