Kasey Adams was a 18-year-old girl full of life and joy who was just a few weeks away from graduating high school. Nothing could have put her down. She had a mom and dad who adored her, a 9-year-old sister who looked up to her, was captain of the Varsity softball team, and many friends and team mates who she spent multiple nights a week hanging with at the local diner. The weekend before graduation, Kasey and her friends decided to celebrate by going to her friends' family cabin a few minutes away. When Kasey hugged her little sister and kissed her parents good-bye, she didn't realize that this would be the last time she ever saw them.
A few month later, with her parents and sister dead and a nasty reminder upon her arm, Kasey is attempting to move on for the first time since the fire. After the accident that destroyed her mind, body, and soul, and moving to North Carolina with her estranged aunt, Kasey is determined to get herself back on track, start college, fly under the radar, and hopefully graduate with a nursing degree like her parents always wanted from her. Due to an unfortunate circumstance, she is stuck with a certain baseball captain who makes her feel things she hasn't felt since she lost everything. Maybe he can help her find the pieces that she is missing, or shatter her soul in process.
