*COMPLETED* In this world on your 15th birthday, one fingernail gets painted a certain color. And your soulmate has the same color. You can't paint over it, but you can paint the rest of your nails the same color if you want to hide it. But after a while you can't anymore. The universe stops the nail polish from working. Pain....endless pain.....and then blackness...and then pain again... DAMN THIS PAIN!!! It was nothing compared to the next step... I couldn't breathe. My life was getting sucked out of me. I could see black spots swirling infront of my eyes. The hunter took a final look at me and said,"We will be together now. No one will come between us." And with that,he started to suck the life out of me.

Everyone is born with a mark on their skin, a symbol of something significant to their soulmate. It could be anything from a word to a number to a shape. The difficulty is determining what the mark means, and Arthur thinks that's the stupidest part of this whole "soulmate" thing. How many people actually find their soulmates when all they have to go on is something as insignificant as what amounts to a birthmark? Arthur's is really ridiculous. It's...well, it's so ridiculous Arthur knows that even if he manages to find out who his soulmate is - and why on earth this thing is so special to him - he'll be so horrendously ridiculous that Arthur won't be able to like him even if he tried.
