Ever since I saw my best friends dad die in front of my own two, once blue eyes. My now gold orbs, seeing the world for what it actually is. Adam Vernom is a 28 year old Vampire who is also a Ceo of the Vernom Company Ltd. He is the type of guy who you never want to mess with. Of all the things he hates, there is only one which he despises the most which is mates. Adam does not believe in mates, he thinks that they only exist just to destroy lives. What will happen when these two meet? What will happen when Adam know that Velina is his mate? Will Velina resist his seducing ability? Will Adam hate her? After all she is his mate... -------- He yanked me closer to him till our breaths became one and our tips of our noses touched. My eyes bulged like freaking saucers and were staring at his hot ones. This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental. Angel Adams is my name, and having a carefree life is my goal. After graduating from college, I spent the rest of my life jumping from job to job. Making do with living in New York City, from paycheck to paycheck. I don't mind. Money is fake and we live on a floating rock anyways. For the past five years, nothing really stuck with me. At a high school party he gets intoxicated with his friends and tends to find someone to bring upstairs to have fun with. Your typical fuck boy. His mate comes to the party and he brings her outside to apologize speaking based off his true emotions. Unfortunately later he won't let her think that was him showing his vulnerable side. He takes her virginity that night just to turn around early in the morning and treat her like she was just a piece of meat to him. He makes sure that she leaves the house feeling worthless to her alpha mate. Little does he know she's got a thing for revenge and tends to go too far. How far will she take the disrespect and lack of feeling loved? Is he always the bad guy ? Or is she just naïve and confused. *WARNING STORY MAY BE TRIGGERING* Intentions of this book: To bring light of the darkness of generational racism. Show light of The journey of a person of color in finding self love when you're not the definition of today's beauty standard. Overcoming racism that is taught from older generations not to just be a rebel but to make changes to the future because we are better as one who all bleed the same color.
