A prequel to 'Pull' set in the world of Deep Darkness. 

Humanity had just colonized the solar system. For years tensions ran high as we engaged in a secret war in the wake of an alien invasion. We thought we had pushed our invaders away. We thought we had won the war. When they came back everything was lost.

Elyse, a former soldier turned mercenary originally from Earth is just beginning to put her life back together when she takes a bodyguard job for a man named Slen. The job sounds like it is her golden ticket, sleep for the duration of a deep space voyage, protect Slen when he they arrive at their destination, return home and live happily ever after. With no home or family of her own she accepts the assignment and joins the crew of the Erebus. Everything seems to be going according to plan until her and many of the other passengers begin to wake up.

When she is captured by a war criminal and his group of terrorists they place a collar around her neck and give her two choices - - help them take control of the ship or die. 

Elyse's journey will take her from the dark corridors of the Erebus to the start of a new colony called Shear as she struggles to survive against terrorists, aliens, and her own violent past.All Rights Reserved

I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it! Oh, did I forget to mention the Universe decided I was the lucky girl to help find the one person who could save us all from self-destruction? Many people had been placed in a cryogenic state. That of which kept them from aging as they made their way out of the infection. For them, a place of safety, The Solar Sun. The Solar Sun space ship was the closest landing unit in the solar system. Many others would have to be traveled to after refueling and preparing for another two or three centuries of being in a cryogenic state. For Luna, the girl hopes that space would be her escape from the aliens that destroyed their Earth, but that was only the beginning. Upon arrival, the ship is found infested. Luna and a small team of scientists had come in hopes for finding a cure for the strange virus, only to find the virus had taken over most of The Solar Sun, following a few escaped Irinauts. The Solar Sun is their last hope, and their last escape from these beings, but what's to be found there will change everything.
