Alexis was heartbroken when August, her best friend of ten years, humiliated her in front of the whole school.
August leaves school the same year and comes back two years later. What will his reaction be? When he sees his best friend, whom he humiliated, unrecognizable? He attacked first. Now it's time for her counterattack.
"Hello, beautiful," He greets me. I stand there, completely shocked.
"I know I look handsome, but you don't have to be this shocked," He smirks.
He doesn't recognize me. Yeah, the 15-year-old me would not recognize the current me, either. I open my mouth to answer him but end up laughing.
"You don't recognize me, do you?" I question and start laughing again. I laugh to the point where my stomach starts hurting. The whole hallway is silent. This situation is hilarious.
"Good," I nod to myself with a smirk on my face. A look of recognition passes his face.
"Dove," He breathes. I shake my head.
"Dove? I don't know her. My name is Alexis," I snap and turn around to head to class.

"What's your problem?" He asks darkly.
"What's your problem?" I spit back.
"Why do you keep following me?" He hisses.
"I don't follow you!" I shout back.
"Then how come where ever I go you end up going or being there?" He questions in a raised voice.
"Its a coincidence." I say back in the same tone. He then moves forward towards me, and I take a step back but my back hits the brick wall. He puts his arms up his palms against the wall caging me in looking into my eyes. I won't look at him though, I look to the ground scared.
"Just leave me alone...stay away." He whispers in my ear before he walks away to his car with his head down.
