The story revolves around the difficult and miserable life of Samuel Leone, a 33 year old accountant who lives in New York City. Sam's life had a difficult start and is heading towards an even harder end, suffering from bad luck and stress. One day, he suddenly got news that his wife and only child died in a car crash which resulted in him having intense depression and he lost hope in life.
Sam's life seemed at pause after the tragic incident, he didn't work, didn't eat, didn't even get out of bed for days. Since he didn't have any friends, nobody even asked about him. Sam didn't see any point to live anymore and decided to set a date for when he's gonna end it all. However, a mysterious mail was sent to him which changed everything else from that point on..
