Carter Olsen is 17 and finally starting to see the good side of the band. Sure, he's been in the band since he was 12, but the band hasn't had a good side in those 4 and a half years he's been in it. 

Tragedy is clearly evident, no good can last long, or, at least, that's what Carter's girlfriend, Natalie, says. Maybe she's right. Nothing good lasts long.
