When Kate's best friend Quint Baker introduces her to Jack Sullivan, she instantly becomes great friends with the orphan.
Then the apocalypse struck.
Quint, Jack, June, and Dirk team up during the apocalypse.
They are an unlikely team.
The orphan, the science geek, the journalist, and the bully.
But nonetheless, they are all survivors.
When they are telling stories of before the apocalypse, Jack mentions Kate and Jay.
Turns out, June knows her.
The three mourn over the fact that they were probably not alive, and probably zombies.

Kate refuses to believe that her friends are zombified.
And 84 days after the end of the world started, her team finally finds Jack, June, Quint, and Dirk.
Just several teenagers in a treehouse, during the apocalypse.
What could go wrong?
