I stepped out of Dylan's car. "Thanks for the ride home" I said yawning at the end. I shut the door and walked to my house. I reached in my pocket to get my key and had a mini heart attack to find it wasn't there. I looked back about to signal Dylan to come back, but I didn't have to. He was already there leaning on his truck with keys dangling from his hands. "I think you forgot your keys", he said, chuckling. I smiled and chuckled back. He walked over and tossed the keys to me and I got them with one hand. "Thanks", I said flatly. "Don't worry about it", Dylan said with a wink. He got his phone out of his pocket and shrugged and put his hands over his head. "What is it?", I asked. But I already knew. It was Chelsea Johnson, Dylan's girlfriend. "It's Chelsea. She's doesn't want to take me to prom anymore. She wants to go with some of her friends instead." I could tell he looked aggravated and upset. "She told you that in a text message? She couldn't at least call you?" I asked.

The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" I rush as I grab the car key sitting on the glass table. I run into the garage with my dad behind me. "What do you need?" Dad asks "A room. A big one." He runs back inside as I hear her voice again.
