-Hikari Hayami was determined to stay with her best friend, Tohru, no matter what. Even if that meant moving out of their shared tent in the woods and into the Sohma house. Her only purpose was to keep a very jarring promise to Kyoko Honda, to whom she owed her daughter a debt larger than life. All she needs to do is protect Tohru until they graduate, which might prove to be difficult when a certain member of a certain family makes it his mission to make sure Hikari understands that she doesn't have to be "useful" to be loved.
