Toby/Tubbo, better know as Alesha by the people around him, was put into the foster system when he was fourteen after a tragic incident in his family when he was eleven. His home, which was located on the more dangerous side of town, was robbed, resulting in his parents death, and the kidnapping of him and his sister, Lani. Lani was killed next to him just a few weeks later. Tubbo was eleven when he was taken, and fourteen when he was rescued and put until the system. He bounced from home to home for some months for either "being to quiet" or "not being able to take a joke," when the joke caused him a panic attack from his two years of trauma. Other homes just didn't want to take on the trouble of caring for a traumatized kid once they found out how "hard" it was. One day, when Tubbo is put in a home with a family of four, the dad of the other three and one of the kids, who is Tubbo's age, take a strong liking to Tubbo, who they thinks his name is Alesha and is a girl. For years, scientists have wanted to see if they could extract a human conscience and split it into its individual parts. Over and over again they tried and over and over again they failed. Until one day, when they found a way that they were sure would work. The problem: they needed a brand new test subject. Enter Jack. Jack (known as Jacksepticeye on youtube) was kidnapped by the scientists and experimented on. His conscience was extracted and split into individual parts, his body was cloned and the main bulk of his conscience was implanted back into him. Jack survived the experience with very little physical and mental damage and the experiment was deemed a success. And so, the egos were born. They and Jack were kept in the lab and experimented on until the opportunity arose to escape. Once they are released into the real world, Jack discovers looking after multiple clones of himself who know nothing about the outside world is going to be a lot harder than he thought. And to make things worse, Jack is now sharing his mind with Anti. Where the others just want to live their lives as normally as they can, Anti wants revenge. He wants the world to know what they have been through and he wants the scientists to burn for what they did. He craves attention and is willing to get it in any way possible, even if that means putting the group's new-found freedom in jeopardy.
