We've all heard of people drowning. They fall into the water and can't swim, or they are in a car that goes veering off into the sea, knocked unconscious.

Their lungs slowly fill up with water until they can no longer breathe. They struggle to hold on to dear life, but their body gives up without consent.

They drift towards the top of the water, floating silently. No more flailing and desperate attempts to live.

That's how this girl made him feel.
She made him feel like he was drowning.
