Isang batang babae ang walang may alam kung saan nagmula. Bigla na lamang itong nakitang pagala-gala sa mundo ng Gimokudan, ang mundo ng mga diyos at diyosa, mga diwata at mga iba pang mga mahihiwagang nilalang. Si Karimlan, ang Diyosa ng Kadiliman, napag-alaman niya na may tinataglay na napakalakas na mahika at enerhiya ang bata kaya nais niya itong mapasakanya at sipsipin ang kapangyarihan nito. Ngunit, ang mga tahimik na diyos at diyosa ng Gimokudan ay biglang nagpakita upang tulungan ang bata mula sa kapahamakang dulot ni Karimlan, isa na rito ay si Bulan, ang Diyosa ng Liwanag at Buwan. Nakiisa rin si Baylan, ang pinakamakapangyarihang diwata at orakulo ng Gimokudan, kanyang ipagtatanggol ang di- kilalang bata laban sa Kadiliman.
