*THE IDEA FOR THE BIRRIN IS NOT MINE! I DO NOT CLAIM ANY OWNERSHIP TO THE IDEA OF BIRRIN! THE CREATURE AND IT'S PLANET WAS CREATED BY ALEX RIES AND I GIVE THEM FULL CREDIT FOR THE CREATURE.* The alien in this story was heavily inspired by the Birrin, created by Alex Ries. The book is part of a larger universe I plan on creating, including stories such as Eden, TOWN, USA, and Justin Case. Alex and Nick are camping in the woods, and while Alex gets lost searching for a place to set up their tent, they stumble upon an alien craft, and it isn't empty... Sounds cliché, right? But what happens if the alien isn't the only thing that came to Earth on the craft? The creature, which Alex and Nick dub "Stella", end up on an international adventure involving wormholes, government agents, and more than their fair share of near-death experiences. (And yes, the Alex in the book is a reference to Alex Ries.) The tag "NNU" is referring to Nobody's Novel Universe. Think MCU, but Nobody instead of Marvel and Novel instead of Cinematic.

Harlan has a unique power, one that makes him see things others cant, and therefore got him thrown in an asylum when he was only a child. Now he's a reluctant hero, thrust into the profession since he lacked any other option. He's amazing at his job, and six years into his work, is the sidekick to one of the most notable heroes of his generation: Lavina. Unfortunately, he also hates being a hero, but there's one thing that makes it worth it. The numbered. A series of villains who appeared out of nowhere and have an exceptional skill at avoiding the law, heroes, and just generally winning or evading consequences. Consequences, which are the only part of Harlan's job he enjoys. Harlan wants to find the root of it all more than anything, and he's beginning to get close. He intends to find out at any cost. He intends to win at any cost. That, he's sure of. His drive is unmatched. Until something entirely foreign to him gets involved: Feelings.
