For The Love of Speed
Sonic and friends unwillingly travel to another dimension and upon arrival realise that they are not able to freely show their special abilities to the public or bad things may await. They have to live mundane lives during their time there. Some get jobs in order to blend in and earn their keep. Little do they know a certain egg themed villain is attempting to find this world to conquer as well as defeat the heros hiding in plain sight. Will they stop him without being captured by the villains of this world? Or will the villain rise to the top, rendering the heros useless? Eventual Sonadow, Rougeknux, Blazeamy, and Mephilver. 16+ there are adult themes and topics in this book not suitable for minors, nothing explicit, which is why I put 16+ rather than 18+. The characters are aged up as follows; Sonic-21, Shadow-22, Rouge-22, Knuckles-23, Amy-19, Tails-15, Silver-18, Mephiles-18, Mighty-18, Sally-16 I am open to constructive criticism, so if you notice a mistake or something that just doesn't make sense, please comment so I can fix it. The Mystery Guy Next Door
The strip of leather made contact with the skin on my back. The burning pain soared and I had to grit my teeth so no noise came out. I've lost count. I can't even remember the number of times he has brought the whip down onto my back. The burning sensation cooled and for a few seconds I thought the torture had finished but my thoughts soon came crashing down. Instead of being mauled by the whip, I heard a crunch as the bones in my torso were crushed by a heavy booted foot kicking me in the side. I grunted in pain. I had been in this cell for God knows how long and it was now probably some time in the evening. "Trying to be clever are we?" His voice booms out, his voice makes me flinch. "That's what you think smart ass. But I was trying to protect her." I replied back. I shouldn't have said that because moments later I'm kicked again in the side; this time so hard that I can feel a rib sink into one of my lungs. I fly towards the opposite wall in the cell, landing on my back. The specks of dirt and dust dig into the deep cuts on my back making me suck in a quick breath. I grunt and try to get up onto my feet but I feel a firm grip on the base of my neck. Before I know it, my feet are no longer touching the ground and I'm struggling for air. This is it. I'm dying. I woke up in the morning, stretching tired out of every brain cell I still had left. Today I'm on my way to go put in an application at Tenessee University. I adore having my hair, truly. Unfortunately though, part of it is the fact that it keeps falling in my face all the time. Consistently. So I decided to throw it up in a messy bun for now. everything seems to have calmed down after whatever happened the last few years. everyone keeps calling it the 'end war'. either way, the zerg attacked and killed half of the planet in a month. We've been holding out the whole time and now thier just feral. whoever or whatever was controlling them, died a few months ago. now the zerg just wonder around. they lost thier cordnitation, thier focus. in just a few short months, we've managed to turn the tide and hunt the zerg now. it's easy to whitch has been giving me a very bad feeling. now they've just become unpredictable. I've gotten used to being ambushed by a pack of zerglings, roaches, and sometimes, hydralisks. damn. I've gotten so used to hearing the gun fire that now I just stay awake at night. I've been feeling uneasy ever since the attacks stopped. thiers still the hives though. however, I strongly believe that hybrid are still in those hives. not just the small ones either. the big ones that are basicly thors on steroids. I still have nightmares of thier screams. the screams of the people who died by thier talents blades. the roars after a decimated town. it was stupid, you know. but after I got out, I hunted those....monsters. I don't know how I do it but I hunt those hybrid. thankfully, we've got people like capton Tyson and Sargent Killian. they've kept me in check for so long. I can't tell you how thankful I am for them. thier basic my parents after they found me. now, I basicly work for the planets milita. I've been everywhere. I've even had a few adventures to the infested parts of the world. god...I wish I didn't sometimes. those...things. I can't believe they used to be human. I'm happy I put them out of thier misery but still, the call was general carts. he didn't nuke them but sent bodies just to fuel the fire. so many good men and women. died or infested. guess it can't be helped. I'll make sure thier family's will know that they'll be at piece at the end of this. I hope so anyway.
