It's been one year, 207 days since the U.S proclaimed war on its people, bombing its land and destroying everything Dream knew. But Dream would always assure himself he was fine; he had everything he needed. Both him and Patches were alive and physically well, what more could he ask for? Dream doesn't need anyone. Until, he meets someone who changes his life. For the better... or the worse?


If any of the people in the story ever say they're uncomfortable with shipping, I will take this story down.
This story is inspired by "Nuke To The Heart," which I unfortunately cannot find :(

I didn't want to do the things I did, didn't revel in other people's pain, but I did what I had to to survive. At least that's what I tell myself. The people left only care about themselves, if they didn't care that I murdered someone, why should I? ----- After a fatal war that caused the world's governments to collapse, the world fell into chaos that it never recovered from. Now the wealthy control everything, using mercenaries that rely on them to stay afloat to carry out their dirty work. Dream was one of these mercenaries, one of the most skilled that their was. He was willing to do what he had to, never thought twice about ending someone's life in the blink of an eye, that is until he was instructed to kill someone, someone he cared deeply for without a real reason to. This caused his entire way of life to go into turmoil, so why is he willing to risk everything for some random boy he met on the street? ----- (TW!!!!: blood, violence, death, use of weaponry, slight mention of mental manipulation, though not much) if any of these things affect you, DO NOT read on, for they will be periodic themes throughout the entirety of the story. Continue with caution. i only ship the characters Dream and George, not the real people art does not belong to me

Schlatt, his boyfriend of 3 months, decides he would help him with the presidency, deciding that they would combine their votes, making it easier on the already distressed Alexis Quackity. They didn't expect to win, but alas, they did. They both have more money and power than they'd ever wish for. Schlatt's arrogant personality clashes with Quackity's more calm personality, mixed with the stress of running an entire country, they clashed constantly. For the first few months, it was going well, though, after that, Schlatt began getting more and more manipulative, as the power was running to his head. Not only did he think he had power, but he did have power. Quackity being sent through a cycle of emotional trauma, terrified. He's convinced his friends hate him and he's paranoid to reach out. Will he break from the binds of his husband, or will he fall to his death at the hands of his lover? Or even fall by his own hands from suicide? Only time can tell before he ends up mentally breaking.
