Realizing that he cannot run from the War any longer, the Doctor has rejected his name to become a warrior. He must take a stand and fight to save the universe from the conflict and horrors engulfing it. Fighting Daleks is now in his nature. But seeing the Time Lords increasing brutality, selfishness, and callous disregard for other forms of life, he knows he has another serious problem. Not to mention Rassilon's true dark history. Can he save his own people from the darkness growing inside them?

Intended to do the Time War justice to what it was described and implied to be, which "The Day of the Doctor" and "Engines of War" fell short of.

Even more than I could feel with two hearts. After walking for five minutes in the uniform tree line, I saw a tall fence surrounding an ominous brown building which somewhat resembled a prison. There were no windows, only wire mesh lining the entire building and hard concrete pillars in between. Surely the girl I'm looking for couldn't be in here? The Doctor uncovers a girl with a dark secret, will the Doctor save her or will she drag him down with her so they both burn. First they had to find Eleven. Now they have to find Twenty Two. A dilemma or difficult circumstance from which there is no escape because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions. "a catch-22 situation". This was fun to write, as I have been a fan of Doctor Who since I was nine years old during the Tom Baker era. I studied hard to try to capture each Doctor's personality as they speak and interact, although I do admit that having a cast of 28 causes several characters to get lost within the dialogue. I made this as canonically correct as possible, pulling each Doctor and his corresponding companion from episodes to make this possible, but if you catch me in an error... I claim AU! Ha ha. It is for all intents and purposes a Capaldi episode, within his first season, long before Face the Raven. This is a Doctor Who fanfic for superfans only, as the entire first section only describes each Doctor by his attire, so you have to guess which is which by their apparel and companions. If you aren't familiar with each and every Doctor, this story will get very confusing. That being said, I hope you enjoy!
