Despite breaking down in a room full of people due to an irrational (made rational by . . . things that are so not any of your business) fear of airplanes and her flight being cancelled due to the weather, Bea isn't completely out of luck. She may or may not have rented a car knowing she would chicken out of the flight (maybe, maybe not) and now she's on the road, ready to return home in a dazzling showcase of pure will, determination, and epic dance montages. 

Except there's one catch: Claude Martin. Eccentric, blue-eyed, genius-slash-slash-slash-horror movie connoisseur (hee, hee, get it?) Claude Martin who Bea promises to drive from Chicago to New York because . . . well, sometimes she has moods (and sometimes those moods lead to her getting pizza, so she generally tries to follow them). So there's that.
