Emma Swan is done with dating and relationships, regardless of the fact that Mary Margaret is determined to set her up with someone while taking her out barhopping. It's just too bad for MM that the one guy Emma has her eyes on at The Captain's Rum is the one guy her sister-in-law refuses to set her up with. Ruby and Mary Margaret try to warn her about the bartender's infamous reputation as the bad boy of Storybrooke, but Emma refuses to listen. Besides, she's not looking for anything serious, only someone who can give her a night of pure bliss without all the strings. And she has an inkling Killian is the perfect man for the job. What could possibly go wrong?

This is an alternative version of Through the Rising Tide and answers the question: "What if Emma didn't flee from Killian the night she met him?"

After a string of murders lead Sheriff Killian Jones to Enchanted, a vampire club located in the outskirts of Strorybrooke, for information, a blonde vampire princess and owner of the club is unwilling to comply without some favors of her own. Completed!!! Rated Mature for very graphic details of sex, violence, and blood sharing. There are mentions of rape and mind manipulation, but the relationship between Emma and Killian is absolutely consensual. Continue with caution. Notes: This was written for Captain Swan Supernatural Summer on Tumblr and inspired by the show True Blood. Emma and Killian are somewhat based on Eric and Sookie with a role reversal. I've been on a hiatus for a while because of a lot of serious personal stuff, I struggled with getting this story started and I'll be the first to admit there are some scenes I put more thought into than others, so please review with kindness. Also note that not all of the rules of vampires are going to be exactly the same as True Blood, I wrote the elements of the story as I saw fit. A huge thank you goes to Allison for being an amazing beta reader and for all of your suggestions. I would also like to give a shout out to Alma and Eva for looking it over and for your relentless encouragement and feedback. Another huge thank you goes to Lydia for all of your encouragement and for always keeping me on track, and of course for creating the wonderful graphic for my story! Without you ladies and your constant support, this story would not have been written.
