Annalise, a sixteen-year-old girl struggles to find her place in life until she picks up her first job at a local thrift store. Wrinkled clothes and dusty shelves cloud her vision weekly as she faces complex problems such as college admissions, isolation, and growing up. She soon begins living a double life as a lonesome reader by day, and a popular writer at night thanks to her coworker Corey. Annalise begins to learn about sexuality, and feminism while being exposed to the LGBTQIA community at a slam poetry event and she soon realizes what she wants in life due to guidance from her coworker and English teacher. The question is, will those around her understand what she wants in life?
