Based off of the short story I wrote called Bloody Sympathy. Holds similarities but a lot of it is changed or made more subtle since that was old writing and I find the intense sudden angst very cringe worthy but people wanted a full story and I like the original path the story was taking so i'm trying it out. Taekwoon lost his Mother at 15. His Father became distant and he took to school. He put all of his pain into studying and getting the grades he knew his Mother would have wanted him to have. Fighting his way to the top of the class Taekwoon graduated High School with a full paid scholarship to multiple universities. Taekwoon knew he wanted to be a doctor and saves lives. The issue was, he was terrified of needles. What is to come when he is the only one who can save a woman's life but has to face his fear to do so?

But in his day to day life he is Alex Harris, someone with near god-like powers who is perpetually looking for ways to fend off his perpetual boredom. Morgan Richman is a low level villain who has made their career on elaborate heists, nefarious hijinks, and somewhere along the way wound up with the S Tier villain as their roommate and best friend. For them, life is absolutely perfect. Until the day the heroes kidnap Morgan to try and get to the S tier. And during their interrogation discover that Morgan's mostly useless superpower (a near useless summoning ability) has the potential to be Alex's undoing. Literally. For an S tier like Alex death is hardly permanent, but he comes back to a very changed world. One that both has moved on from him and still feels the scars from the aftermath of his death. And as for Morgan? They are barely recognisable from the light-hearted friend Alex left behind.

The hero, now has a sidekick but this sidekick doesn't seem like just a sidekick, and the villain doesn't like this. The villain doesn't understand these feelings about this "sidekick" it's like jealousy, but he holds it in. He doesn't love the hero, or does he?
