Victoria Sanders was adopted by a billionaire when she was still young. She was taken not for the purpose of being the man's fourth child but to become the wife of his first, Hans. 

Her step-father and adopter, Henry Cristobal died two years after her adoption which also marked the beggining of miserable life for her. A life filled with neglect, maltreatment and loneliness courtesy of the rest of the Cristobal family members.
