Sage was kidnapped.

She doesn't know why, or how it happened. The men who took her don't tell her anything, but they won't leave her alone, either. Worse threats are on their way, and she's injured, chained to a wall with no way to escape when she needs to now more than ever.

Oscar's job is to save. He protects people and takes down threats on a daily basis. He's just doing another job whenever his team comes across Sage's small form in their targets house.  She isn't supposed to be there, and no one knows why she was.

It's not the end. Even if she makes it out, there are still people that want to hurt her. Oscar will do anything he can to keep her safe, though.

"I'm not doing this anymore. Obviously I'm not good enough for you, so why don't you go find some little brainless bimbo who will do exactly what you want, when you want it? Since that seems to be your type. I'm sure you can find someone who will put up with your constant mood swings. Your mom must be proud." That was a mistake. I pushed it too far. I can see it in his eyes. I open my mouth to apologize, but I don't get the chance. The slap echos through the room, and I fall to the ground. I should have known he would do it again. Why the hell did I stay with him the first time? It's a different kind of pain when you are hurt by someone you so deeply care about. The stinging on my cheek is nothing in comparison to the pain in my chest. How can someone tell you they love you and would do anything for you one day, and hurt you like you mean nothing the next? I scoot back trying to create distance between us. I don't think I can look him in the eye right now, let alone be close to him. My back hits the wall, and I realize I've gone as far as I can. He comes towards me and crouches to my level. I expected him to be apologizing profusely, but boy am I dead wrong. He grabs my face, squeezing my cheeks and forces me to look up at him. The pain is overwhelming, and I try to pry his hand off. "Did you really think you could talk to me like that, and there wouldn't be consequences? Didn't I just tell you how things were going to start working around here? That was your final warning Lex. Next time I won't be so nice." He's actually psychotic. He can't possibly think that was being nice. I'm going to have a big ass bruise on my face, and he calls that "nice"? I don't own the cover or any of the pictures I use.
