Isabella Garcia is in her first year of college, she works in her local library and lives in her college dorm with her cousin and best friend Sofia. Isabella is scarily smart and got into Berkeley on a scholarship, she keeps her head down and stays out of trouble unlike Sofia, who is always out partying. To an outsider, Isabella looks like a normal, shy, smart girl but Isabella has dark secrets that no one knows. What happens when the resident rich bad boy Ajax Constantinou takes a certain interest in the quiet girl and becomes determined to know what she's hiding.
Ajax Constantinou is a very closed-off guy, he feels he has the world on his shoulders because of his father, Demetrius a very successful businessman who expects his son to follow in his footsteps. Ajax doesn't know what he wants to do with his life even though is pretty much laid out for him. He's studying economics at Berkeley and lives off-campus with his best friend Theo. His life is pretty boring for him until one day he stumbles into a library and an intriguing girl catches his eye, he has a feeling she's hiding something and he won't stop until he knows her secrets.
