The life he agitated about starts to become more overbearing as he soon finds himself doing everything to avoid his fathers wrath. Beckoned to step up and take over his father's business if he doesn't get his act together, he must prove he's capable of doing more than just drinking. Emerson is more than used to having skeletons in the closet, spending most of her time working in different jobs to avoid facing her reality has led her to her biggest complication just yet. She finds herself thrust into a brooding rich boy's life without any warning and the most unlikely of friendship forms. There is just one thing she can't figure out, are they both still swimming or are they just barely reaching the shore? One is trying to stay afloat, the other is a sinking boat.
