(Y/N) was born into the water nation but when her parents found out she could bend fire, she was sent to the fire nation. She met a figure in the alleyway, who takes her to his father's palace. But before she can fully get to know the Prince, the Firelord takes interest in her. She is sent to train with Zhao when one day, the Crown Prince returns and takes her on a journey to regain his honor. But tensions arise and (y/n) finds herself wondering who the shadow in the alleyway really was...

There is an old folklore about the Children of the Forest. They were mortal spirits who were the First Benders with the ability to travel freely to the spirit world and to the human realm. Each with their own element of air, water, earth and fire. They were one with their elemental animals and travelled the spirit and human realm freely. Fire Lord Azulon was one of the very few humans aware that this folklore was more than a mere legend, although slightly altered, but factual. He sought out dragons and in one of his searches he found a Child of the Forest with a Fire Element by sheer unfortunate luck and after defeating her, he imprisoned her. (Y/N) was seen as the key object of victory within the Fire Nation and a driving force of power to their legacy and supremacy but to Zuko she was not a weapon of mass destruction or a spirit creature; she was so much more. As the Sozins Comet approaches and the Avatar Aang prepares to face Firelord Ozai with the help of his friends, it's clear that Zuko and (Y/N)'s paths are more far apart than they know. It was one mistake that led (Y/n), a young girl from the Northern water tribe, down a path of twists and turns. After being somewhere she was told not to be, she ends up being abducted by the Fire Nation Army. Being dragged back to their homeland, she happens upon the opportunity to work within the Firelord's palace as the Prince's attendant. Being the same age as the Prince, Zuko, the two become friends. But as time passes, (Y/n)'s feelings for the Prince chance as well. Now she is conflicted by the idea of being a mere servant and in love with the Prince, along with the fact that back home in the Northern water tribe her best friend and arranged fiance waits. An Air Bender from the Western Air Temple never having the chance to find balance within. She never knew how she managed to survive all these years, hiding from the Fire Nation but she still remained a nineteen-year-old girl. Fire Lord Ozai discovered her Air Nomad origins and he imprisoned her for three years. She got to meet the royal family before it was broken. When she managed to escape she ran away to the Water Tribes. She had been there ever since, protecting the defenseless people from the ruthless Fire benders as well as her bending. A new Air Bender appears, and it didn't take long when a Fire Navy ship arrived the deserted icy lands of the South. She will once again become the Fire Nation's prisoner but this time, in Prince Zuko's ship and things will never get back to normal. ~~~~~ I do not own the Avatar: The Last Airbender I only own the new character and some changes in the plot. Both can be deadly when misused. Water and Fire can't be too different. Or are they? Zuko is a fire bender, but not just any fire bender he is the son of the fire lord. Kadia is a water bender, the daughter of the village Chief. When events lead to Kadia being captured by the fire nation Prince she realises that although Fire and Water are often referred to as opposites, they might not be so different after all. Kadia learns to realises that the many lessons she learnt growing up where nothing but prejudice. Or where they? Can she get over her emotional scars and learn to heal? Or was everything she witnessed an elaborate act all along made by the fire prince and his uncle? An act to trick her in letting her guard down and betray her siblings and the Avatar. Will she be able to trust again or does this scar run too deep to heal?
