This is a weird one he sees it as if you can just hold on to everything traumatic to you it won't make you weak.

4: Never turn out like "Him" no matter how hard it is not to.

5: Don't fall in love with her because, in the end, you'll put her through pain. Lukas rather put himself through death than jenny through pain.

And he follows these rules for almost his whole life.
