After spending months in the hospital, 15-year-old Mac is officially in remission from leukemia. He's finally going home, minding his business in the hospital's healing garden, when three men emerge from an oak tree and grab a young boy, dragging him into the tree. Mac is faced with a choice - stay put and hope for discharge, or try to help the kid.
Knowing the boy needs treatment, Mac chooses the latter, stepping through the oak's trunk into the Climbing Tree. Mac soon learns this is the hospital's oak is the central hub to a series of linked worlds that form Spiritwood. He meets Zharo, the troubled prince of a race of tree-bonded dragons.
The unlikely pair must team up to stop an evil king who has been kidnapping kids from Mac's world and extracting the cancer from their blood to use in a spell that keeps him young. The evil spell is poisining the linked world of Spiritwood, threatening Zharo's people, and putting kids like Mac in terrible danger.
Mac and Zharo have the power to stop the king's evil magic, but their forced partnership is fragile. With time running out, they must find a way to work together or Zharo's people will die and the boy Mac followed into Spiritwood won't get the treatment he needs.

It also doesn't help when their helicopter suddenly malfunctions and the group ends up crash-landing in the middle of a dense jungle with no way of contacting the outside world for help. and to make things worse for poor Lyra, something seems to be stalking her in this new and unfamiliar environment. It's bad enough she's trapped with no way home in such a dangerous place, but when she comes across signs of a monster lurking somewhere on this uncharted isle, she comes to find that the worst of her nightmares have only just begun. because the thing that's been stalking her from the shadows as fangs and scales just like the creatures she fears the most, with intentions of keeping her trapped with it on the isle.

He finds himself with the resistance against a tyrannical king after narrowly escaping the general of the king's knights. He had a little help from a new comrade and an ancestral dragon. The members of the resistance think he is just another unfortunate magic-user who is seeking asylum. However, when Jak bonds with the ancestral dragon he is given an ancient power not witnessed in three hundred years. Along with this new power, the dragon comes with a prophetic warning that Jak's presence on Kaolin is a greater threat to the balance of nature than the murderous king and he must leave before it is too late. Once Jak uncovers a way back to Earth, he also discovers the old couple that saved him is being held within the dungeons of the capital. Of Shadows and Darkness
Tristan steals shadows to make familiars out of them. It was all completely harmless until he stole the shadow from a demon, effectively stripping away all of their powers. Now Gregor is stranded in a dimension not his own without magic. Tristan agrees to help him get home, the least he could do because it was mostly his fault (and totally not because he has a crush on Gregor, or because of Gregor's compulsion magic or because he kissed him.) But then everything goes wrong when they get attacked by fire elementals who work for the demon Earl Alfred of Aleman who is also after Gregor's magic. The elemental manages to steal the shadow and now Gregor and Tristan must travel through different dimensions to get the shadow back and slip the Earl and his henchmen in the process.Complete

And what will happen when he discovers Richie and Bernard are not what they seem? *** Here's my little disclaimer, guys: This is a very happy-go-lucky almost romance that I wrote back in grade school. There is proper grammar and I personally think it has a fun plot, BUT there isn't much complexity to it. It's short and sweet if you want to give it a read :)Complete
