Imagine being able to read minds, how about being well-informed about the menacing events that are to take place soon in your life?

" That would be so cool ", you might assume but that was far from the truth, such abilities would better fit the description of 'disastrous torments' rather than their typical definition of 'extraordinary superpowers humans wish they could possess'. Or that's what Cessier Rinne believed, a 25 year old detective, gifted with both such unimaginable capabilities.

She believed she was destined for a 'cursed' life,

well atleast she was made to believe it...

Beautiful brown eyes that could read people's minds and

a tiny, punchable voice in her head babbling endlessly about everything gloomy and pathetic, made her life a 'living hell'.

But little did she know there was more to it...

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Very gently- her soft lips brush against mine. My eyes flutter closed and I lean back in, smiling. "Nyx, I swear to god, you are going to kill me one day" "What do you mean...?" "Forget it, you already have." ★★★★★ Nyx doesn't want the life she was given at birth. She's a fighter, not a pretty little object that needs saving. Kiran should have never been taken. He's never been a fighter, he acted more like a prince than a knight. When Nyx Maskousky was taken as a young child, she was raised as a thief, but more importantly, as a fighter. But there's a catch: she has to dress like a man, or she's immediately thrown in a cell to rot, where every fragment of her freedom will be gone- ruined. Kiran Taner was taken, along with three other children at eleven, and like everyone else, was raised as a thief. But just as the universe had seemed to want, he's never been strong enough, and has to spend long hours every evening with a woman he can't hide feelings from- Nyx Maskousky. But with a horrible twist of fate, Nyx and Kiran was caught- however not by the exterminators, but by the Trial judges- who put both of them together in the them. However, if they find out that Nyx isn't a man- her whole life will be torn apart, and she will be locked up, or worse, killed. And the trials will easily be Kiran's end, for how strong everyone else is, yet how weak he was. And with a terrible level of self control, Kiran needs to keep his feelings from Nyx for as long as he can. Or that could be his downfall. Extra details: Includes music in a majority of the chapters, thank you to all the creators who made them 🙏. This novel does have deeper meanings as it progresses, so please stick around for it. Original Draft, not the rewrite - lowkey sucks in comparison, don't recommend this version lol wait for the new one | What does society choose to do when children start being born with magic powers? Throw them into a prison of course! That fixes everything. Except it doesn't. In fact, it makes things worse. When young girl, Stella Rophur hears about Project Sunshine, Stella went from keeping her secrets away from just people at school to keeping it from the entire world. The Sunshine Project didn't just bring darkness and strip kids away from having a proper childhood, it actually did bring some light into peoples lives. Stella never had many friends as a kid, she wasn't a very social child, but being at the prison and meeting kids just like her made it easier. It doesn't end there, more secrets about the program and just where these mutations came from are uncovered. Bringing out more darkness and light, Moonlight and Sunshine. Read on to see just how Stella's story unfolds... ~ "Who are you?" Stella asked, staring at the girl with the uncanny grin and red horns sticking out of her head. "I'm anything and everything... The only limit is fear." Stella woke up in a cold sweat, flicking on the lamp beside her bed. She ran a hand through her light blue hair, catching her breath. "Who was that girl? Why was she in my dream?" Stella thought to herself, dreams had meaning didn't they? There had to be some sense to Stella's dream, maybe Stella would find out if she had another dream. "I wonder if she has powers too, she looks like it. I'm not really sure if I want to find out, that was freaky."
