Martha's small frail frame began to shift, her round almond eyes darted around the room nervously before falling onto me. I returned her gaze, my stomach turning, once, twice, today's breakfast threatened to spill out.
Sweet little old Martha hands clamped together tightly in her lap. I nervously chewed on my inner lip as the hospital bed creaked as the Decetive sat down at her feet.
"No one can hurt you Martha, if you know something we need you to tell us"
Martha breathed in deeply and opened her mouth to speak.
Her answer would determine the rest of my life.

'Lily.' A soft voice said from somewhere in the dark. My head was fuzzy and my body discontented from my brain. But the main thing was I felt no pain. I felt relief. I wasn't in the rubble anymore. As Monte trailed behind me, I quickly pulled out the parking lot and sped home. When I got home, the neighbor was outside on the porch again.
