Childhood playmates, turned partners in crime, turned bitter enemies recount their falling out in dueling narratives. Told in opposing order, each man tells his side of what is turning out to be a deadly disagreement.

A monderized retelling of Shakespeare's Richard II, told in the style of 'The Last Five Years'.

Trigger/Content Warning: extreme profanity throughout. Mental illness issues discussed at length including a major character being hospitalized. Highly suggestive sexual content, it is made clear characters are having/going to have sex. A character comes out to family expecting a bad reaction (nothing bad occurs, however the character's fear may be unsettling to some readers). Two characters fight physically multiple times, some grotesque violence. More description below if needed.

Be aware of your mental state and seek help as needed.

Rose and Swan Boarding School's social heirarchy is disrupted with the arrival of a new student who catches the eye of the star of the hockey team. Can Edward and Gaveston keep their relationship a secret from the malicious student body and faculty? Definitely not. Rose and Swan is a highly religious boarding school nestled deep in the mountains. It's the perfect place to hide, but Edward is about to find out you can't hide from yourself. He had no problem hiding his sexuality, not until Piers Gaveston, his new roommate, shows up. Based loosely on Kit Marlowe's play 'Edward II'. Feels like a teen rom-com. I wrote this as the book I wished I'd had as a teenager, that is to say I wanted it to be a sort of comforting, relatable world, as well as genuinely fun. That said it does follow the basic plot of the play so there are some unsettling scenes. Namely Chapters: 15, and 23 on. (If you think the cover is too gay I assure you it's what Marlowe would have wanted. If you think the book is too gay I PROMISE you, it's what Marlowe would have wanted). Trigger/Content Warning: some graphic violence that may be disturbing to some readers (chapters 21--on, Epilogue is fine). Some teenage sexuality (teenagers kiss, it is implied teenagers have sex, chapter 19 primarily, but all scenes are PG-13 level sensuality). Brief teenage level crude humor. Self harm is discussed throughout (worst depiction in chapter 14). Conversion therapy discussed at length and briefly depicted (Chapter 15). A character suffers from gender dyphoria and is dead-named on page (chapter 20). Graphic violence/torture after Chapter 21. Be aware of your mental state and seek help as needed.

A child king. A jealous cousin. A path to glory full of heartache. The court of Richard II of England fraught with peril, a tenuous 22 year reign that is all going to come crashing down on a cold night in January, 1400. After Richard is overthrown by his bloodthirsty cousin, Richard's supporters make one final, desperate bid to save his life and put him back on his throne. This last stand of supporters to the true king of England, will be known as the Epiphany Rising. Only one thing is certain, one king will remain on the board when the game is over. Based on true events. Content/Trigger Warning: traumatic violence and profanity throughout. Death of major characters, throughout. A narrating character experiences an eating disorder, this is discussed at length throughout. Some brief child abuse. A character has a sensory overload. Blood and gore. Some brief crude humor. Suggestive language. Somewhat steamy sexual content. A teenager is reluctant to have sex with an older teenager. Alcohol use. Be aware of your mental state and seek support if needed. See below for more information if needed on triggering subjects. A major character experiences anorexia throughout the narrative and eventually dies from starvation. This is discussed at length, the character clearly is suffering. A major character is reluctant to have sex with a spouse, and is disturbed by the experience but due to societal norms does not voice this to the spouse. The relationship is shown to be coercive and the entire section may be uncomfortable. (Part 3) Most major characters die traumatically on page. A character who is implied to be neurodivergent narrates disorganized thinking consistent with mental anguish due to stressors, then is denied coping mechanisms.
