Sixteen-year-old Parker Zhong lives in a society run on watches. These watches are devices that dictate people's day-to-day activities and develop their magical powers. This system brings Parker's family of detectives power and recognition. However, everything crumbles on Parker when his watch breaks. His lack of social and literal power begins a chain of events that will let Parker rediscover what it means to be hopeful when he has nothing.
