Ellie found traveling with Joel to be both rewarding and simultaneously frustrating. It was like talking to a cold, emotionless brick wall sometimes. So imagine her excitement when they run into another group of travelers heading in the same direction, and they agree to travel with Ellie and Joel. The most exciting part? The other group has a girl their age. This is essentially a Ellie/Reader slow-burn fanfiction. It's also a fix-it fic in regards to the Last of Us Part 2 because I have personal issues with it. Will involve spoilers for both games, but this is mostly a self-indulgent fic. The reader is unnamed and has no descriptors so pretty much anyone can be the reader. The reader has established parents that are involved in the plot.

Fast forward to the present (horseshoe overlook) you meet the Van Der Linde gang once again. But it's not how you planned it. Technically you planned to 𝑛𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 see them again. After much persuasion, you agree to rejoin the gang and they accept you back but some of them are still upset that you even left in the first place, especially Arthur. You soon get back in the routine of the gang life and become closer with Arthur. You have an unstable relationship with him but try to get through it. Tk and Lucy are mostly the same with just a bit different designs and back stories with y/n...Tk and Y/n used to date but some stuff came up and y/n needed a break.. but Tk still loves them dearly still to the present time.
