Math class was hard enough; I didn't need the mummies.
Anubis, the Egyptian god of death, has lost his most sacred weapon, an Ankh believed to possess power over life and death. All of a sudden, dead bodies all over the world are coming to life, and not in the good way. Someone has stolen the Ankh, and apparently is using it to spur up a zombie apocalypse.
Like all that's not bad enough, Anubis has tagged me as the main suspect.
Now my friends and I have to clear my name, find whoever stole the Ankh, and save the world from the wrath of the undead. Yay.
The icing on the cake? Anubis isn't the only one hunting me down...

~PARAGON CINEMATIC UNIVERSE: PHASE 2, BOOK 6~ *This novel serves as the 6th novel of Phase 2 and a sequel to "Powerhouse" and "The Paragons".* "Had Anubis been allowed to rule......so many peoples' lives would have been saved. Your family......and your sister......would have been happy. And he would have only needed to remove one weed from this universe's garden: you." -Damien Kraft Two years after their first outing, The Viper, Dr. Duncan Drevis, The Crawler, Nightclaw, Powerhouse, and Coldsnap are riding high on their reputation as the Paragons, having gone on separate adventures of their own while still keeping in touch. After a team mission, things start to go awry when Powerhouse receives a dire distress message from the Egyptian god of strength and fertility, Apis-the deity responsible for granting him his powers-alerting him that Anubis, the Egyptian god of death, is at risk of escaping his custody and exacting his wrath on humanity thanks to the actions of a mysterious cult known as the Dark Scions led by the enigmatic Damien Kraft. In order to prevent Anubis's return and rescue Earth's populace at large, he and the other Paragons must travel to Cairo-the capital of Egypt-to intercept Kraft and his followers before they reach Anubis's resting place; a mission that, if not completed successfully, could lead to the destruction of every living thing......everywhere. But this time, they will need some additional help. Apis, understanding the threat that Anubis poses to Earth, has called upon other gods from the Egyptian pantheon to come to his and the Paragons' aid: Thoth, god of wisdom, Set, god of violence and chaos, Isis, goddess of magic, and Nut, goddess of the sky. Now, gods and heroes alike must team up and work together to foil Anubis and the Dark Scions before the death god subjugates the planet and dooms millions of innocent souls to the Duat. • Cover designed by @Castiment

Addiction - Book 9 of the Alpha Series

36 parts Ongoing Mature

Addiction - Book 9 of the Alpha Series Anubis has made his will known and for that, we find ourselves indebted to the God of the Dead. To keep our position as caretakers of the Unicorn, we must act as the unofficial hell hounds, ordered to aid in the checks and balances of the new world. While the Earth continues to spin, it doesn't come without its new laws- or lack thereof. Gods of all regions descend upon the unsuspecting mortals in a bid to regain control of their respective regions all while humanity tries desperately to rebuild amid yet another world war. Suddenly, one's cultural background means very little when nobody is safe from becoming an unstable vessel for an unworldly being. The only one who can stop the madness is the Unicorn, yet the child is barely old enough to read and write. It's up to us to persevere until Darrius is old enough to act. Meanwhile, the weight of becoming Death, an unwilling horseman, falls squarely on Verando's shoulders. What could possibly go wrong?
