Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has always been different, and the fact that he was born deaf just made things even worse. Unfortunately, turning sixteen brought even more changes to his life, like being removed as his dad's heir and arranged in marriage to none other than Ruffnut Thorston. At least he had made a new friend to help him through everything, though the village would brand him a traitor if they ever found out. As he becomes closer with his new dragon friend, he realizes that he can no longer stay on Berk. There's too much at risk and there's something out there, something that only he and Toothless can resolve. So he leaves, along with his new wife, to make peace for the dragons and save them from a tyrant. Years go by, and Berk has been left in the past...until they show up on the shores of the island they call home. What are they supposed to do now? Hiccup was so upset that his people chose him to kill he dragon in front of them, but he can't because if he does, his dragon Toothless won't trust him anymore. He made a plan on leaving Berk and be free like dragons do. But, when he succeeded, something unexpected would change his life for good.
