The 72nd Hunger Games was the third year that District 12 had a victor, the second Female. Her name was Aspen Oakley. She survived the cold climate by some miracle, she claims by moving and taking the clothes from the people she killed. Despite the difficult arena to survive, and the trauma, she didn't let the games break her. No, she swore she would break the games.
The victor could associate herself with anyone, after all she survived one of the hardest arenas, but no. She chose to hang out with two people from the district that were her closest friends before she went into the games, Katniss Everdeen and Gale Hawthorn. They were like her family, the only family she had left.
When the 74th Hunger Games rolled around, she was dreading it. She would have to mentor the poor people, and she would have to be away from her friends once again.
What's going to happen once the unexpected happens? How will Aspen react?
