The reoccurring murders of arbitrary civilians around Tokyo has shaken the nation. Disguised as suicides, the secrets lay with the dead. Detectives are faced with the task of discovering the motives and uncanny patterns that surface. Gonkuro Okita, lead investigator of Teikoku Detective Agency, is assigned to crack the code hidden beneath layers of cryptic clues. Will the murders stop or will the suffering continue to endlessly rotate.

Shuichi -when he is a kid- lives with his parents and his uncle in Japan before they had to move to America, where he left his only childhood friend, Kokichi. Years had passed, and ever since he had moved overseas, Kokichi had made some new friends: Maki and Himiko.
