Well, this is the exact case of Samuel, my namesake, in my current book titled The Unknown: Necromancer, which belongs to the amazing The Unknown Series I've been working on. He kills his family by accident and now has to live with the gut-wrenching pain, but not for long, though, because a means to get back in touch with them soon comes to him on a platter of gold, but not without brutal sacrifices, of course.
