My pale blue eyes glanced around me frantically searching the woods. My breath was heavy, heaving with each step into the soft soil beneath my pads. My paws hitting the earth with new vigor as I saw another glimpse of its shadow. I was running from something. I didn't know what but it terrified me just with the thought of it catching me. My broken wings hugged close to my sides, ears flickery at every branch snap. It wasnt just one thing chasing me, it was multiple. I felt my heartbeat quicken at the revelation. My breathing got heavier, my silver pelt ripling with each step. My eyes frantically searching for a way out. But I knew this was it I wouldn't survive. "Mother, reincarnate me soon. I'm so close to it. Let me keep my memories please." Bringing myself to the edge of a cliff, the full moon shone down on me. In it's light, I raised my head, releasing my soul into a long howl....
And then I woke up, nestled between my two brothers next to my new mother. I cried out feeling hungry. I felt my new mothers tongue run over me, my pup body and small wings getting unbalanced by it.

Gnarly roots dip into ground and twisted branches reach down, fingers grasping the air, as if reaching for me and I shiver, thinking of my father. I cast my eyes up to think of something else and instantly calm as another puff of breeze rustles the leaves on the trees and ground gently. I look ahead and notice the steady thinning of the old trees and run towards it, loving the feeling of the air in my air and clothes.
