SUBLUNAR

At 23 years old, Jesse is exactly where he thought he'd be in life. He sleeps a lot, works two jobs, and boxes for cash at the underground ring known as 'Sublunar.' All in all, nothing much has changed since he got out of juvy five years ago- Until he starts to fall back in with the wrong crowd. His memories are heavy, and his struggles with OCD and ADHD are beginning to build up and weigh him down. Boxing used to be enough to take the edge off, to get him through daylight hours, but he can feel himself slipping.

Finn feels quite the opposite; three months ago, his little sister was hospitalized, and since then his whole plan for the future has been flipped upside down. Nothing matters more to Finn than his family, but he's been playing the saviour for as long as he can remember, the bridge between his parents and the shield around his siblings. Finn would never say it out loud, but he's getting tired of making sacrifices, and he doesn't know how much more he can give.

Haru doesn't feel much at all. He's stuck in this strange in-between place, not quite happy and not quite sad, struggling to overcome his numerous addictions and hide his relapses from everyone at the same time. The flashbacks make it difficult, a demon on his shoulders that wears him down as the days pass. His skin crawls when people touch him, his head pounds when he's alone, and if he has to fake a smile one more time he thinks he might implode.

But when Jesse and Finn fight their way into his life, Haru starts to feel again. And even after everything he's been through, that's what scares him the most.
