Good morning to all the readers of the Wandering Writer! Today I feel like I want to share with you, through the drawing created by CinnaMom for the book "A gathering of tales from a Cosmopolitan family", the experience I had in Romania thanks to Europe. The project was called "Linking generations" and I had the opportunity to work in libraries, kindergartens, retirement homes, and centers for the elderly, developing mutual listening skills and organizing play activities for different generations: children, teenagers, and pensioners. One of the final results of this experience was the writing of a multicultural story in collaboration with the volunteer from Armenia, the volunteer from Bulgaria, the Catalan volunteer, and the other Italian volunteer. Previously we had told with a non-formal method four stories from our countries of origin. These stories were the myth of Samodiva, chosen by the Bulgarian volunteer, "I tre cani "(The three dogs) by Calvino and "La sirena di Palermo" (The mermaid of Palermo) by Rodari, chosen by me and the other Italian volunteer, and "I tre porcellini "(The three little pigs), the version told to the Armenian volunteer when she was a child. The Catalan volunteer took care of the production and post-production of the video. The story you will read in the book "A Gathering of Tales from a Cosmopolitan Family" is narrated by Love Ladybug who, transformed into a cute little dog, "barks" the story of how two women with different aspirations and desires manage to bring back the sun on the village tormented by male selfishness and carelessness. Marina and Samodiva are very similar to the character in Aristophanes' Greek comedy who managed to end the Peloponnesian wars through a peculiar strike. Guess what his name is?
Fate has given me two daughters to raise and I want to teach them the immense power women have when they join together!
